Role Summary and Responsibilities
The Package Handler is the backbone of daily hub and ramp operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that parcels move safely, accurately, and efficiently through the extensive FedEx network. The position requires physical stamina, precision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, often involving night shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cargo & Handling Operations: Scanning, sorting, and tracking packages; loading and unloading vehicles and Unit Load Devices (ULD containers); performing safe on-loading and off-loading procedures; and managing aircraft cargo and ground operations.
- Logistics Support: Maintaining accurate location tracking and reporting, assisting with general logistics and administrative tasks, and performing necessary security screenings.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering strictly to operational safety procedures, maintaining high accuracy during sorting, supporting operational audits, and promptly reporting any irregularities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
