Career Opportunity: Stores Controller at Air Arabia Abu Dhabi

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, a leading low-cost carrier in the region, is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stores Controller to join its technical operations division. This pivotal role is central to the airline’s commitment to safety and operational excellence, ensuring that the maintenance of both the Air Arabia fleet and third-party aircraft is supported by a seamless supply chain.

The Role at a Glance

The Stores Controller is responsible for the end-to-end management of the airline’s inventory systems. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will oversee the receipt, storage, and release of vital maintenance materials, spare parts, and specialized tools. Your primary objective is to ensure that every operation within the stores department adheres strictly to GCAA regulations and internal company policies, providing the engineering team with the resources they need exactly when they need them.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Strategic Inventory & Stock Management

Precision is the heartbeat of this role. You will manage the daily flow of essential components, including wheels, batteries, oils, and consumables. By maintaining organized binning locations and monitoring storage conditions—such as temperature and humidity—you ensure that all materials remain in peak condition for both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.

2. Digital Record Keeping & Compliance

Utilizing advanced tools like the ICARUS Inventory Control System and the RAL system, you will track inventory movements, monitor shelf-life expiration, and manage calibration schedules for critical tools. A significant part of the role involves pre-loading requirements for Aircraft Daily Defects (ADD) and Maintenance Deferred Defects (MDD) to facilitate rapid retrieval and minimize aircraft downtime.

3. Operational Coordination

The Stores Controller acts as a bridge between logistics and engineering. You will issue tool kits based on maintenance schedules and coordinate with the Rotables Team and external vendors for the repair of unserviceable parts. Furthermore, you will handle the logistics of high-value assets like engines and APUs, ensuring that Dangerous Goods (DG) are managed according to international safety standards.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with physical stamina and a meticulous eye for detail.

  • Education & Experience: A high school diploma is required (Bachelor’s degree preferred), along with 1–2 years of experience in aviation inventory management. Familiarity with GCAA and IATA regulations is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized inventory software is essential. A valid UAE Driving License is required for ground operations.
