Job Purpose

As a Cargo Agent, you will handle all aspects of cargo operations — from documentation and customer service to cargo acceptance, build-up, delivery, and equipment handling. Your role will ensure smooth cargo movement across import and export operations, contributing to dnata’s efficiency and world-class service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow customer service and airline-specific policies, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulations and SLAs.
• Execute day-to-day cargo operations and be available for assigned tasks promptly.
• Identify and report safety concerns, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
• Supervise and assist loaders and equipment operators in cargo handling activities, including acceptance, delivery, and documentation.
• Inspect and verify cargo against relevant documentation to ensure accuracy at every stage of handling.
• Enter cargo data accurately into the system and coordinate with authorities like Customs, Health, and Municipality.
• Handle special cargo such as dangerous goods, valuable shipments, and live animals in compliance with IATA regulations.
• Operate cargo-handling equipment such as forklifts, tow trucks, and pallet loaders.
• Load and unload cargo from aircraft, trucks, and ULDs efficiently and safely.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be eligible for the Cargo Agent role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High School Certificate (12 years of schooling) or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years in logistics or cargo operations.
• Skills: Strong IT and computer literacy.
• Communication: Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
